The Lion Safari

Please note: On the first day. Guide will meet you at the arrival place. He will take you to purchase beverage (alcohol, soft drinks) for your safari, the day before the safari starts on day 1 you will need to pre-night in arrival place (Maun/Kasane etc.). Guide will give you full safari brief on the next day before safari starts.

Day 1: Kasane/ Chobe. Camping

The safari will start in Kasane/ Chobe. In the afternoon you will do a boat cruise in the Chobe River front and back to the campsite with permanent ablutions.

Day 2: Susuwe/ west cap river National Park. Camping

You will depart Kasane early to cross the Nambian boarder to Susuwe National Park. After setting up the camp you will explore the area in the afternoon game drive. Camping is in a designated camp site with permanent ablutions.

Day 3: Noda Lodge. Camping

You will rise with the sun and head west pass Popa fall’s where you are going to see the river water of Okavango delta rans rapidly fast. Camping is in a designated campsite with permanent ablutions.

Day 4: Tsodilo hills. Camping

Early in the morning we drive out of Namibia throughout Mahango National Park to Botswana boarder post, then head to Tsodilo hills (the worlds heritage site). In the afternoon. We visit the museum in Tsodilo Hills. Take a nature walk to view the rock painting on the Tsodilo Hills. Camping is in a designated campsite with permanent ablutions.

Day 5: Okavango Delta. Camping

Our journey will continue to the magical Okavango Delta. Where we are going to meet with the poler to camp in one of the islands in the delta. You will transfer your equipment to motorboats to the mokoro station in the island from there into the mokoro to the island.

Please Note: Before we load mokoro. We have to pack a small hand bags or small back packers take only what you will need or use only for 2 days on the island. The idea is to reduce weight on the mokoro. The remaining luggage will be return into the trailer and locked inside. The trailer will be parked in a safe place.

On the last day they will be an optional scenic flight from the Delta to Maun (45mins) Delta flight rate Euro with minimum of 3 participant’s subjects to change without prior notice. Those who are flying will remain in the campsite with one of the polers to entertain them while waiting for the flight. Those who are not flying will head to Maun with the guide by road to Maun. The importance of the scenic flight is to see the meandering Okavango Delta on the air, also big game, Elephant, Hippo, Giraffe, hard of Buffalo, Zebra etc. Flying participants will meet with the guide at the airport in the afternoon on the agreed time.

Day 7: Maun. Camping

After being picked at the airport. You will do shopping for beverages (alcohol, soft drinks and spend a night at the campsite with permanent ablutions.

Day 8-11: Moremi Game Reserve. Camping

In the morning, you will be heading to Moremi Game Reserve, which is one of the best wilderness areas in Botswana with a lot of permanent seasonal Swamps, seasonal channel and dry areas. Moremi Game Reserve is inside the Okavango Delta which covers 5000km2. We have divided Moremi into two sections, 2 nights will be spent on the other part and one on the other part. Game drive.

Day 11-14: Chobe National Park. Camping

Chobe National Park is one of the first park to be established in Botswana in 1962. Chobe National Park has best famous areas with a large number of elephants, Mababe Depression, Savuti Marsh area, Linyanti and Chobe River front. Game drive and boat cruise.

On the last day, we will drive through out of the park to Kasane Village. Safari will be ending in Kasane village. Our guests will be transferred to the next destination or to the lodge in Kasane.

Pioneer will be happy to assist on transfer you around Kasane, to the Kasane airport, Kazungula border (Botswana to Zimbabwe, Namibia and Zambia) border for free (no costs).

Price Include: Transport (Game view) for the duration of the tour, accommodation, grouped camping equipment (tents, mattress, sleeping bag and small pillow, Blankets etc) permits and entry fees, rooms at comfortable lodge, professional guide, chefs/ camp assistance. All meals breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea/coffee. Bottled water. All transfers and activities (mokoro, walks as per itinerary.

PLEASE NOTE Does not Include: Restaurant meal in lodge, tip, carious, optional activities (Scenic flight over the delta), beverage (alcohol, soft drinks) for your expenses. Insurance to cover for cancellation and curtailment, medical, baggage, emergency evacuation, any increase in park fees.
